Be Thankful Fingers

For Family Home Evening Troy sat down with his hands hiding behind his back and said he had a special story for Lizzy and Ben. When he showed us his hands we saw that each fingertip had a little frowny face. He told us the story of the ten lepers who begged the Savior to heal them. Once healed, however, only one came back to thank the Savior for his miracle. Nine of his fingers had a frowny face, one had a smiley face, representing how the man felt as he said "thank you", while the ingratitude of the others caused the Savior sorrow.
Lizzy was beside herself with glee when she saw Troy's fingers. As soon as the story was finished she begged to tell us the story herself with her own little finger puppets.
Thanks for the fun lesson dad!
