I haven't made a post on my blog for a month!!!! I haven't even checked other people's blogs for a month!!! Wow, it is time I get back in the swing of things. Facebook has been a fun, easy way to keep in touch with people so that has been a huge part of my computer interaction with others this past month. But facebook doesn't get my scrapbook/journal done so I need to rededicate myself to the blog.
Here are just some random tidbits from this last month - in no specific order...
We went to the Yuma County Fair. The kids had a blast!
We went to Sea World. The kids had a blast!
The new Star Trek movie is AWESOME!! I loved the actors/actresses they chose. They got the old quirky characteristics down perfectly from the original cast. It was thrilling, funny, intense and with a little romance thrown in - those are the characteristics of a great movie in my book. Mom and Dad had a blast!
I'm still working hard at my goals. Some days are easier than others. My major goal has been to lose the weight I've been hiding behind for the last few years. Once I figured out the emotional reasons behind the "disguise" I've been wearing, my motivation has increased exponentially! I still have a long ways to go but exercise is now a very essential part of my day - sometimes even twice a day if it is a particularly stressful day. (that is where a lot of my blogging time has gone - I now exercise a lot more instead of sit in front of the computer - which is not bad thing, but I have more time in my day than I had thought)
My Aunt Myra and Aunt Lorena came for a visit during the month of April. My sister's family and I hung out together with them for the week. We went to the beach in San Diego, to Mexico and had a campout in my backyard. So fun! It is so fun to have visitors and so hard when they all go home because there is no one to play with any longer.
My husband made me breakfast in bed for Mother's Day AND last night he gave me a pedicure!! Yes, he did it himself - not too bad either. Thanks honey!
Lizzy and Ben continue to make me the happiest mom around. I wish I could follow them around with a video camera all day. I want to bottle up some of their cuteness and put it on a shelf. When they are teenagers and driving me crazy or when they are both grown and gone and my house is clean again, I would like to pull that bottle down from the shelf and breath in their love for life and the world around them, their hugs and kisses, the cute things they say and what it feels like to hold those sweet little children in my arms.
I found Facebook about a couple months ago too. I need to go back, I have lots of people to reply too (never enough time to do everything!).
ReplyDeleteGood for you at exercising! Doesn't it make you feel so good? I need to get back into that, was great Jan-March and then I haven't had a second to do it again since all my traveling.
Let's get together and try and figure out a way to bottle up that cuteness! I can't get enough of my baby who is turning one on Thurs. It makes me want to cry that he is already that old! I can't quit telling him that he is the cutest thing I have ever seen! Must bottle it up somehow...
