B Is For 2 Boys Playing With Bubbles and Balls and Boats

Now that Lizzy has started kindergarten, I have more time to concentrate on Ben which he is not sad about at all. When Lizzy was 3, a couple friends and I started a little home preschool group that we kept up for two years. I loved being part of Lizzy's early education and I wanted the same experience with Ben so a friend and I have started to do the same thing with Ben and her son Dominick.

These two boys are good friends. Except for the occasional tiff over who gets to hold the Buzz Lightyear toy, they get along very well. This week was my first turn with the boys. We meet two mornings each week and each week we work on one letter and one number. My assignment was the letter B and the number 2.
After some songs, stories, worksheets and some PE type of activities, I set the boys to play in the BLUE water tub filled with BUBBLES, BOATS, BALLS and BLUE army guys. Somehow a water fight developed and the two were soaking wet! (how did that happen? wink, wink)

Later we played with BLUE BALLOONS that either had the letter B or the number 2 printed on each balloon. I made them say the letter B so many times they didn't want to say it any more by the time we were done.

I know the boys are having fun, which is actually the most important right now...having fun learning and discovering the world around them will keep their minds open for more learning in the future.

(Yes, this is one of the worthwhile activities I just can't give up!)

  1. I am a big believer in home preschool. Looks like you are doing a great job. By the look of your pictures, the boys think so too.

  2. I didn't know you were doing preschool again. How fun! It was a blast doing it with you guys a couple years ago! Too bad we live so far out of town. Bri would love doing preschool. :) Love seeing Ben in Asher's old clothes. He looks darling!
