Lizzy's tooth has been loose for a while now but in the past couple of weeks it has been extra loose. We knew it wouldn't be long and of course there were the offers from daddy to pull out her tooth for her. But she wanted her tooth to fall out at school so she could go to the nurse's office and get this cool ring case for her tooth of course, and to experience the admiration of the other students (although I'm not quite sure she purposely understands that last part)
When I picked her up from school today she came running to me with the exciting news, showing off her purple ring box. She said it just fell right out and her teacher said there was hardly any blood. The tooth was very ready to come out.
She is greatly anticipating a visit from the Tooth Fairy tonight... That Tooth Fairy better run get some change. :)
Lizzy woke up to find a whole dollar under her pillow! The first words out of her mouth were to tell me what she planned on doing with that dollar. It has something to do with this organization Pennies For Patients and a little boy in her class who has Leukemia. He is in one of Lizzy's groups during the day. He is such a sweet boy and Lizzy has really taken to heart the class's effort to raise money for this organization. At the last minute she almost changed her mind. It was her decision to make so I let her make it without any advice from me in either direction, and in the end she did follow her original plan.
If anyone has any pennies lying around, Lizzy would love to donate them to help this little boy and those who suffer like him.
All these milestones. So much for a mom to take in.
