Thing 1 and Thing 2

My kids love Dr. Seuss books so when Lizzy's school said that the kids could dress up as a book character for the celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd, I knew just what to do. Someone had given us these shirts a couple of years ago. I've hung onto them, knowing the perfect day would come.

The pictures don't show their blue hair. Troy used blue jello to dye their hair blue. It was pretty cute.
Identical - don't you think? :)

We, OF COURSE, had green eggs and ham and pink ink milk for breakfast! So fun!!

I was surprised when I picked Lizzy up from school that day to hear that she had won the costume contest for the whole kindergarten. We hadn't even known there was a contest. This is the book Lizzy won - a nice hardbound copy, along with some yummy treats. Go Lizzy!!

Ben showed off his shirt and blue hair with me in preschool that day. I've started a part-time job as the 4&5-year-old preschool teacher at a fun place called 'The Treehouse". Ben gets to be in my class! I teach on Wednesday and Friday mornings and we, of course, had some Dr. Seuss fun on both of those days.

Thanks Dr. Seuss - your whimsical, made-up worlds have made our world a lot more fun!!

  3. Maybe Thing One and Thing Two aren't exactly identical, but they have a similar cute expression. Good for you, getting a new job! I hope it is going well for you:)

Completely off the subject, because your email address is lost on the computer that crashed, here is the website that I was telling you about- http://oopsey-daisy.blogspot.com/2011/03/mommy-school-is-back.html. If you go to her homepage the and scroll down a couple of posts there is also a recipe for a St. Patrick's Day treat that looks fun and easy.
