Our annual trip to the Yuma County Fair was just like the last 6 years we have gone... FUN!! This year we went with my sister Wendy, her 4 kiddos and my cousin Becky and her 3 kiddos. Cousin fun is the best fun!
There's my brave scientists - touching a snake (braver than I - I pretend I'm brave so that they will really be brave)
Playing in the "Super Pooper Scooper" play area (no real poop)
Making crafts with Aunt Becky supervising
Scooping up beans and pretending to laugh their heads off for the picture.
Trying to sound like the veal (baby cows)
Gazing and gawking at the goats.
Feeding the animals in the petting zoo.
This year the animals inside of the petting zoo just roamed free inside the enclosed area - usually they are in separate pens. This was much more fun for the kids but a little chaotic for any mom that might be trying to keep their child from being stepped on or any mom (one in particular) trying to keep her 4-year-old son named Ben from riding the animals.
Note to self concerning petting zoos where animals just roam free...DO NOT stand close to any animals rear end (or make sure no animal backs up to you as I know you didn't purposely stand with your foot right under a goats rear) - your feet will be peed on by goats!! And then trying to find a place to wash your feet will be IMPOSSIBLE!!
Lizzy loved the little animals.
They even had a baby Wallaby. Ben chased it around a bit.
Once Lizzy and this little goat found each other they pretty much stayed away from the crowd and just got to know each other better. Lizzy needs a pet.
Until next year...
I love the fair too! So much fun.
ReplyDeletePS. Love your new fonts and background! So cute!
How fun!! I LOVE the fair and sure do miss the "good ol days" when I used to spend everyday at the Fair with some animal or another that we had entered. I told my husband that someday I am going BACK and reliving my childhood at the Fair!! :)
